SMG Wins Karaoke Gold at Advertising Week

Seventeen years after Britney Spears introduced herself to the world with “…One More Time,” Team SMG brought down the house with the song—and scored $10,000 for charity—by winning Advertising Age’s Karaoke for a Cause, which was part of Advertising Week in New York City. Their winnings were donated to UJA-Federation New York, provides funding to support a network of nearly 100 health, human-service, educational, and community-building agencies and dozens of grantees in New York, Israel and 70 other countries.

Performing and winning “was truly an out-of-body experience,” said Starcom Global Strategy Associate Angelique Tyree, who was part of the five-person team, which also included Mediavest HR Business Partner Thereze Ovid, Mediavest Activation Associate Danielle Giordano, Mediavest Executive Assistant Calia Babic, and SMG Communications and Brand Marketing Manager Erin Styles.
